Recipe For An Exciting And Fun 2nd Birthday

- Sleep in, and when you wake up, find the floor of your room chock full of several dozens of balloons, all colors
- Eat the food of your choice for breakfast (chips, in this case)

- Follow that up with a popsicle

- Play with Grandma Gigi

- Bake and decorate your birthday cake with your mama, lick the decorator bits

- Listen to your favorite aunties and uncles sing “Happy Birthday” to you

- Eat cake and ice cream for lunch (mostly with your hands!)

- Ride your new present around the house (a new bike! Okay, a trike…)

- See what action the rest of the day brings!

Happy 2nd Birthday Rocketship. We love you!

"Our Rocketship"

Thank you Veterans!

Happy Memorial Day!
We were very excited to head down to the Milford Memorial Day parade this morning. Our Rocketship absolutely LOVED the action. Between the vintage airplanes flying overhead, the spectators, dogs, horses, "Big Trucks" (as she says - "That's a big truck!"), Veterans, Jeeps, flying candy, & popsicles, she had a RIOT!
It was a lot of fun for the parade goers as well. There was a heartfelt moment when the street was packed full with Veterans who had served all over the world. The announcer came over the loud speaker and said "We need to show our gratitude to these brave soldiers. Go out and give them a hug!". At that moment many people from both sides of the little downtown street flooded in and exchanged some sincerity's. It was very touching.
Thank you to all the Veterans who have served or are serving to protect our freedom! You are very brave and we are thankful for your actions! God bless you!

Daddies Are So Silly

This is Ellena here. I just had to tell you this short story from like a week ago. Seriously, stop me if you've heard it already.

My daddy dropped me off at school with no pants on. That's right, and the worst part was he didn't even know. He was SO busted though at night when momma came home. She saw me running around in only a top and immediately asked him if I had taken my pants off somewhere. He said "No, she didn't wear any pants today".

Then he rambled on about how he thought this shirt (see the pictures below) was really a dress. Turns out he took this out of the closet in the morning when we were dressing, brand new and all, with tags still attached, but got confused because nothing else was on the hanger. What he doesn't know, and - shhh - I may never tell him is there were the cutest little green matching pants that I had detached and hidden just days before.

Silly daddy!

Burried On The C:Drive

Those who know me know I have a fondness for my camera. In fact, I have SO many pictures in general (and even more I want to post here!), that I will never truly "catch up".

Enjoy this sampling from the hard drive, before it crashes!

Documentation: First Scabs

Allegedly the story, as I heard it told, goes something like this:

Mama picked up the little one from school and as they were walking across the parking lot together they were holding hands (Rocketship wants to walk on her own now...imagine that) and they decided to run to the car.

"Mama, my knees!" was the next thing heard that day. She fell down and torn a little hole in her tights and scraped her knee.

By the time they were safely buckled into the car, S had confirmed the "incident" had only done minor damage and that her boo boos were OK.

Again, this is alleged. We should go to the source for more accurate information!

A few days later the teeny-tiny scabs appeared. Rocketship still points to them, especially in the bath, and says "Boo boos OK".
