What Bad Hair Day?

We figured hey, what's the value of this whole Internet thing if we can't document (much to her dismay) our daughter's first ever bad hair day? Plus it was too cute to pass up. We got her up in the morning from her crib and our initial reaction was shock - after all, we had never seen her hair "messed up" before from sleeping all night! So we decided to leave it alone and see what happened. To our surprise, it remained in a frazzled state all day. And, as a bonus, since we didn't go anywhere the entire day (it was a Saturday, mind you!) it pretty much looked the same on Sunday too!

Enjoy it sweetie, there's more bad hair days wherever this one came from!

Quiz: What Is This?

This picture has been sitting in my inbox for some time, and I have been saving it this whole time because; a) I am a self-proclaimed pack rat (virtual electronic pack rat anyway) and b) naturally I wanted to share it here with you.

My intention is to post the picture tonight, as a question and post the answer here in a few days. So, here goes...what is this monstrosity below? Send your best guess to us via email (livingwithhopeblog@gmail.com) or comment below. Prize? What do you mean what is up for grabs? Um, this is a recession, remember? Sorry there is no prize...this time anyway. Good luck!

Also, on deck is a recount of our recent trip down South to Texas. The pictures and videos are downloading currently. Here's a mini-preview: Ellena's first plane ride (her parent's almost had to purchase airplane booze!), a Mexican-American flea market and a Taylor Swift concert (yes, I am comfortable enough with my masculinity to expose that here!)

The REAL Reason Dads Buy A Wii

This was sent to me as an email forward so I don't know who the stars of this video actually are. What I do know however is this little boy sure does LOVE Wii Sports, especially the golfing game. Personally we've had fun playing the golfing on our Wii, but we've never laughed like this. It is a shame to think that some dads would actually pretend to buy a Wii under the guise of it being a purchase "for their children". Who would do that? Certainly, ahem, I wouldn't...ha ha!
